Raasay Rumble has been postponed

The Raasay Rumble is a ten hour mountain bike enduro race that will challenge your prolonged climbing ability and test your technical agility. On Saturday soloists, pairs and teams of three will compete for overall ranking and use their skills to pick up climbing and technical primes along the way. Following your exertions of the race and Skye Brewery sponsored post-race party, there will be an opportunity to head of out on the trails again. There will be route maps of loops for groups, couples ... whatever you fancy. There is a lot of exploring and relaxing to be done here so why hurry away?
The Raasay Rumble enduro race is brought to you by Detail Events, the guys behind the Rat Race Urban Adventure + many other adventure classics and Raasay Outdoor Centre, a professional outdoor centre that keeps the spirit of adventure alive. The Raasay directors and staff are delivering their experiential outdoor courses far and wide during the refurbishments of Raasay House. Although they won't be working, we hope they will be there to enjoy the event and will certainly be with us in spirit. The event is supported by The Forestry Commission; our wonderful sponsors and continued, invaluable contributions and enthusiasm from local trail builder Steve White. Steve's trail passion is a delight to behold!

Raasay has been host to a number of visitors: Prince Charles Edward Stuart (AKA Bonnie Prince Charlie) on his way to France and Dr Johnson on his Tour of the Hebrides. Poet Sorley MacLean is a famous son of Raasay as is Calum MacLeod.
